Coach Richard Mercado, a Sports Administration major at St. Thomas University, has spent the last 3 years working in basketball statistics and sports information during his undergrad. He’s combined his knowledge of basketball and experience working hundreds of games for the NAIA to help take UIC’s basketball program to the next level. Coach Mercado likes to set the tone for his group with his leadership, placing emphasis on attention to detail and being intentional on and off the court.
