Head Coach Charles “CHARLEY” Bwanika

Charles “CHARLEY” Bwanika is the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at United International College. Having been deeply involved in soccer his entire life, Charles grew up playing competitive soccer through the Edgars Youth program and the
Aidenal School of Soccer Art in Uganda, East Africa. Charley represented his country both in futsal and soccer in the youth stages from where he went on to play for Aidenal FC and Mengo City FC, all high level clubs in Uganda’s Betpawa Futsal
Super League. Charley was also part of the Entebbe Football club before joining NAIA #3 St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida in 2020, where he went on to be a 2-time Sun Conference regular season champion, 2-time Sun Conference tournament champion, and a semifinalist in the 2023 NAIA national tournament in Kansas. He also received individual honors as an All Conference team member as well as earning a NAIA Champion of Character award. 
With over 8 years of coaching experience mostly in the youth ranks, Coach Charley knows a thing or two about development. Charley currently works with the renowned Tekkerz Performance Training franchise in South Florida.
Charley obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Public Relations from Uganda Christian University, Mukono and went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Sports and Fitness Administration from St Thomas University in Miami Florida. He is currently pursuing an Master of Business Administration (MBA) here at United
International College (UIC).
